Oh Fall!

You can travel the world, but sometimes some of the most beautiful things are in your own back yard! Thursday was the first day of fall and it was amazing how it felt like an instant shift! Fall is such a beautiful time and it seems to take my breath away every year. This year I headed up the mountain to catch the changing aspens. The bright yellow leaves were just illuminated by the sun shining through them and by comparison to the surrounding green trees. I felt on top of the world as I looked out over the never-ending green valleys with patches of yellow and orange. What pleased me even more were how many people were up there enjoying the view. There are a lot of people that seem to be stuck in their own little superficial worlds, but there are quite a few who are taking more deep breaths, having more appreciation, and seeing more beauty than the rest of us. I feel so lucky to have such beautiful things right up the street. Ready or not here comes the fall! Enjoy it everyone!

Blog Synopsis

I used to think life was about finding yourself, so....I began looking. When that was overwhelming and disconcerting, I developed a new theory that life is about creating the person you want to be. That life is about constantly growing and bettering yourself. With both of these theories traveling and seeing the world seemed like a must to me. Thus I developed this blog to tell of my experiences, the things I learn, and my progress on creating myself.

My photo
I am a lot of things, sometimes it drives me insane, and I think too much, but at the end of the day I am happy with who I am. I spend most of my time trying to understand this life, creating the person I would like to be, and learning. I always appreciate the little things, and I try to be better than, and to make better, the bad things.
